Hither, thither, thither and yon
whenever we meet it's never for long
As soon as we land, you're up and gone
to the next Destination
the next life to try on,
the next moment waiting to join your past
counting the footsteps you outgrow so fast
tracking the progress and age of your heart
as it swells up, breaks, and tries to restart
For each fresh adventure
I follow anew
wherever you are,
however you choose,
though my body is still
my thoughts move with you.
When we'll meet next
I don't really know
but you are my friend,
that's forever.
So smile
and Go.
