Open letter to Mothers

Dear Mother,

I love you.

There are no words to describe the respect I have for you, for your strength and vitality. You are my strength and compassion, my heart and soul. You break the machines and fix the people. So many benefit from your existence. Into our lives you swoop, like the hawks you so admire, and snatch away the pain we've brought upon ourselves. To often you carry it with you, hidden beneath your beauty. I am long away, but you are inside my heart, keeping an eye on the things I do. You are the voice of compassion when I feel cold, you remind me to never give up. On anyone. You are my heart. You are my soul.

Dear Mother,

I love you.
